I WAS FOR IT BEFORE I WAS AGAINST IT AND NOW I'M FOR IT AGAIN, GOT IT?:
John Kerry and 'No Child Left Behind' (Erik W. Robelen, 8/02/04, Education Week)
In the heat of the presidential-primary season, U.S. Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts delivered some tough rhetoric about the No Child Left Behind Act, charging that the federal legislation he had voted for two years earlier was a "one-size-fits-all" approach to policymaking. Now, as he shapes his education message for the general election campaign against President Bush, the Democratic nominee has softened his tone. He is using language that suggests that, if elected, he may be less aggressive in making adjustments to the bipartisan law—a revision of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act—and may not necessarily pursue legislative fixes.
Now he's turning into Wendell Willkie. Would anyone be surprised if at one of the debates he followed up a response from the President by just saying: "Ditto!" Posted by Orrin Judd at August 11, 2004 11:24 AM

He is a man without a chest. He's my kind of guy.
