AREN'T THEY SAVING ANYTHING FOR THE OCTOBER SURPRISE?:

Key bin Laden aide who ran terror training camp caught (PAUL HAVEN, 8/09/04, AP)

In a new blow to al-Qaida, authorities in the United Arab Emirates captured a senior operative in Osama bin Laden's terror network, who trained thousands of militants for combat, and turned him over to Pakistan, the information minister said Sunday.

The man, Qari Saifullah Akhtar, was secretly flown to Lahore, where he was being interrogated, a Pakistani intelligence official said on condition of anonymity.

We really seem to have hit a nice vein of data, maybe from those captured computer files; now it's a race to see if we can roll the new targets up before they figure out they're blown and get lost.

A guy who ran training camps, that has to be a gold mine of names.

I think al-Qaeda et al will provide us with enough of an October Surprise on their own.

It worked in Spain, didn't it?
