AIRBRUSHED LIFE:

Kerry Supporters Hack Barnes & Noble Website (Human Events, Aug 9, 2004)

Will Kerry's supporters stop at nothing?

The cover of the new anti-Kerry book, Unfit for Command, set to hit shelves soon, was given an alternative, pro-Kerry cover at the Barnes & Noble online store (this is a chached page; also see the images from the Barnes & Noble site below). The title of the book was changed to Fit for Command, and the cover image wasa changed from a close-up of a finger-pointing Kerry to a picture of Kerry in uniform with other Vietnam veterans. (At the time, the book sat at #7 on the Barnes & Noble Top 100 and at #2 on Amazon.)

No.

It's all for The Cause (TM), Comrades, and The Cause (TM) is so Utterly Righteous (TM) as to justify anything to bring it about.

Anything whatsoever.

Fortunately, they're afraid of guns. Because otherwise, by now, there should have been several assassination attempts against their fascist oppressors.

Hey, the Riggios are big-time Democratic Party supporters. Maybe they hacked their own website...

Even Kerry supporters know, you can suppress sales of a book by making it look like it's pro-Kerry.

John:

Hmmm...I've noticed that, while B&N sells books of all political persuasions, they put "recommended reading" flags only under liberal books. While there are admittedly only two B&N stores in my hometown of Omaha, I have never seen a recommendation for a conservative book of any kind.

Explains a lot.
