THEIR FIGHT NOW:

Fallujah Savors Most Peaceful Spell in a Year, Residents Say No Need for U.S. Military (Hamza Hendawi, 7/17/04, Associated Press)

Two months after U.S. Marines pulled out, residents of Fallujah feel safe again, sleeping on their roofs to escape the heat without fear of the once-constant nighttime gunbattles, and traveling the streets without worrying they could be stopped or detained.

Fallujah, they say, is savoring its most peaceful spell in more than a year. U.S. forces camped on the city's outskirts say they want to return to help out, but no one here is interested.

Time to move on to Syria.

How does this jive with all the reports that Fallujah has been taken over by insurgents/Al-Qaida/other? Is the city calmer simply because the US isn't attacking the insurgents anymore?
As for Syria, if the reports out today are correct it appears Iran is next on the list.

Iran will fall on its own.

AWW;

Simple. The reporters asked the insurgents how life was for the people in the town. Just like they asked the mullahs how much Iranians like the theocracy and the Politburo how popular Communism is.

Sunni vs. Shi'ite.

Uncle Bill;

Given the precision of USA air strikes, I might well not worry about sleeping on the roof as long as there weren't jihadis in my basement.
