BOSTON MASSACRE:

Dems' New Slogan: No Teacher Left Behind (Ann Coulter, July 28, 2004)

The traditional greeting at the Democratic National Convention is, "Where do you teach?" On rare occasions, the greeting is modified to, "Where does your husband teach?" or "Where does your gay lover teach?" (Democrats could save a lot of money by holding the Democratic National Convention and the National Education Association Convention at the same time.)

The Democrats keep loudly proclaiming that Republicans represent only extremely white rich people, while the Democrats represent all Americans. (Bar bet: Among the four major candidates for president and vice president this year, who has the smallest net worth? Answer: George Bush.)

If the Democrats are a fair cross-section of America, then I guess we can stop worrying about class size. As a friend of mine points out, if the Democratic delegates represent America, then the teacher-student ratio in this country is, at worst, one teacher for every three students. And since the teachers unions don't include private or parochial school teachers, we're looking at a teacher-student ratio of about one teacher for every one student.

Democrats are representative of the nation only if the nation we're talking about is Brazil. For Democrats, there is only the maid and millionaires. There are no Americans in the middle. To the extent Democrats are forced to recognize working-class white men, they call them "fascists."

To thunderous applause here in the American Taliban, billionaire Teresa Heinz Kerry said she looks forward to a day when "women who have earned the right to be opinionated will be called smart and informed -- just as men are." It's no wonder Democrats weren't interested in liberating Afghanistan and Iraq from woman-hating Islamicist fanatics: They think real oppression of women consists of people calling Teresa "opinionated" right here in the USA.

How did Teresa "earn" the right to be opinionated again? By marrying inherited wealth? She also boasted that the Heinz family charity, John Kerry, "earned his medals the old-fashioned way." A couple of sponges on another man's wealth might want to steer clear of using the word "earn" so much.

How much coffee do you suppose she drinks a day?

Ann Coulter or Theresa Heinz-Ketchup?

Technically, the answer is none; she has an IV drip with the Starbucks logo on the little plastic bag.

No, there are only the Proletariat (TM) and the Capitalist Bourgeoise (TM).

The real top of the food chain is the Parasite.

Don't know what you meant by that "how much coffee..?" comment, but I never drink coffee and I agreed with every word she said. Ms. Coulter is a noble warrior. If she applied that rapier wit to Republicans she'd be lionized, but she uses it to take on the left so instead she's a pariah.

The thing that gets me about this whole campaign, is if only a veteran can rightly decide issues of war, then how can a millionaire by marriage understand the plight of the working man? Again, if a Republican tried to pull rhetoric 1/10th this dishonest, he'd be crucified.

Perhaps GW should do what his father did to Pete ("Pierre") DuPont in 1988 - when he meets Kerry in the debate, he should say "Ah, Jean Francois, how are you this evening?"

As for Ann Coulter, I don't think it's the coffee; it's the nicotine.

If only she didn't smoke, I would pine for her.

"women who have earned the right to be opinionated will be called smart and informed -- just as men are."

Opinions don't make you smart and informed, knowledge does.

All of the major party candidates, as well as Nader, became millionaires through their own efforts, except Kerry.
Kerry had the added fortune of marrying a billionaire (barely), but his own net worth was in the top 1%.

One can certainly argue about whether any of them deserved to become wealthy, and how much family contacts played into them having the opportunity, but none of them won the Lotto.
(Except Kerry).

Bush became rich because he's a Trumpian genius at making deals, and he was in the right place at the right time to receive gov't largess when voters gave the Texas Rangers a new stadium.

Edwards became rich by suing negligent people, as well as some people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time, repugnant but American as apple pie and Robber Barons.

Nader became rich by representing the "little guy" against big corporations, and if he had to invent some issues and mis-interpret some data now and then, what the hey ?
At least it isn't a straight-up con, like Jesse Jackson's "money or racial strife" shill against large corporations.

Cheney became rich by being an able administrator of a large defense contractor, with a golden Rolodex from his many years of honorable gov't service.

You little people are such fools. That is why you refuse to bow when I speak. You will get yours, you idiots. John & I know what is best for you peasants even though you do not. We long so for the good days, the European days of elegance when royality was respected. Ants!!! Insects!!! Middle class riff-raff. You make fun of us because we do not pay taxes on my $3.2 billion in assets. You make fun of us because we pay the bare minimum of 0.983% in taxes on my $80M/yr income while I support a 30% tax on any family earning over $100,000. You ignorant scum. I suport the outsourcing of all the Heinz manufacturing plants and their thousands of jobs so that my income will grow even more while my husband tells you about all the bad outsourcing plotted by evil US corporations. Worship me and my waned beauty or I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!
