What, no "Billy Jack"?
I've seen only 7 of them, which probably explains my spiritual desolation.
What, no "Life of Brian?"

Posted by: Jeff Guinn at June 22, 2004 8:44 PMThey missed Resurrection (1980), about a woman (Ellen Bustyn) who recovers from a near-death experience with mysterious healing powers. A very good film that never got the recognition it deserved, and I say that as a pretty non-spiritual person.

It's there, as it should be. My fellow evangelicals missed the point the first time through but got it later. Great film.
Posted by: Jeff at June 22, 2004 10:21 PMI thought Babbetts feast was one of the worst movies I have ever seen and that Grand Canyon was one of the best.
Posted by: Robert Schwartz at June 22, 2004 10:37 PM"Roger and Me" is missing, as is "My Dinner with Andre".
40 of those films on the list are from the past decade (1995-2004). So what 40% from this list will not be on the list for 2014? Which 40 films were on the 1994 list that aren't on this one?
Posted by: Raoul Ortega at June 22, 2004 11:35 PMWhat about "The Green Mile", "The Exorcist", "Dark City", "Gattaca"?
Dark City: a fine s.f. film. Another that might deserve to be on the list: Brainstorm.
Posted by: PapayaSF at June 23, 2004 1:14 AMOrrin has this thing about Forrest Gump, but it should be there.
Posted by: Peter B at June 23, 2004 9:00 AMI agree - "Forrest Gump" should be there. So should "Ordinary People". And "High Noon".
