THE ENDORSEMENTS JUST KEEP COMING:
Fallujah resistance vows to continue fight (P. Mitchell Prothero, 4/12/2004, UPI)
[A]hmed is more eloquent on how the fighting can end and peace can come to Iraq.Posted by Orrin Judd at April 12, 2004 11:46 PM"God willing Bush will fall down by the hands of Fallujah," he says, combining military and political rhetoric. "If John Kerry wins the election and withdraws the Americans troops from Iraq, and maybe just leaves a few in bases, then we will not fight. But Bush we will always fight."
All the more reason to vote Bush in November.
Posted by: jsmith at April 13, 2004 12:07 AMFrom Amir Taheri, another one:
"Hassan Nasrallah, a Sadr relative and leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah, succinctly put it: "We may be unable to drive the Americans out of Iraq. But we can drive George W. Bush out of the White House."
Although I suppose he could be a Nader supporter. I am--after a fashion.
As I just posted on this morning and most seem to be saying, it's all about resolve. The seem to think they can just negotiate until June 30th and then finally after Nov they won't have a thing to worry about. To co-opt their rhetoric, I hope, "god willing", that they are wrong.
Posted by: Scof at April 13, 2004 6:38 AMSounds like whether or not the U.S. does adhere to the June 30 withdrawal date, we can expect some sort of "October Suprise" for whatever troops still remain and for the Iraqi forces along with the Governing Counsel just before the election.
Posted by: John at April 13, 2004 9:20 AMJohn may be right. But the suprisers mat be the ones suprised.
I hope we stay the course in Fallujah. If not they'll think they won. It's a nest of vipers.

Posted by: genecis at April 13, 2004 2:12 PMWe don't pronounce the "r"s that are there. We do pronounce the hidden "r"s.

Is that why you say "Hawthorne" as "hoar-thun"? That threw me for a while last time I was out East.
