ONE SELF-RIGHTEOUS SWEDE IS WORTH HOW MANY TERRORISTS?

Country Worse Off After War: Blix (Bahrein Tribune, 14/04/04)

The costs of the war in Iraq have outweighed the benefits of removing Saddam Hussein, former UN weapons inspector Hans Blix told a Danish newspaper. “It’s positive that Saddam and his bloody regime is gone, but when one weighs the costs, it’s clearly the negative aspects that dominate,” Blix told daily Jyllands-Posten in an interview.

The Swedish diplomat has criticised the United States and Britain for going to war without UN approval rather than allowing his team to continue its hunt for banned weapons.

In the interview, Blix said the war had contributed to a destabilisation of the Middle East and a move away from democracy in the region, adding that even though Iraqis had been spared life under a dictator, it was at too high a cost.

“Bush declared war as a part of the US war on terror, but instead of limiting the effects of terror, the war has laid the foundation for even more terror,” Blix said.

Recall his whining about how hurt he was when he was challenged by his good friend The United States because he shared its goals.

Bjorn Staerk linked to a quote from Blixie about Zeros wanting voting rights in our election:

(Update: Jan Haugland writes about this as well, and the Argus mentions a similar campaign. And then there's Hans Blix: "I think maybe we foreigners should have the right to vote in your next election, since we are so dependent on you.")

If they are serious about voting in US elections, the first thing they can do is dissolve their present government(s) and request annexation. Then the US Congress, if it accepts, can set up a territorial government, which will get then one (1) non-voting territorial delegate to the Hose. If after a few decades of good behavior, they can, like Hawaii and Alaska and all the other territories west of the Appalachians, start petitioning for statehood. Or they can request Commonwealth status like Puerto Rico and various Pacific Islands. But in either case, they won't get to vote for Pres. or Senators anytime soon.

talked about it here

blix is a silly, senile old man who wants to regain some of the limelight he commanded back when the world cared.

I took Blix apart at my blog a week or so ago.

Simply put, Saddam's regime was killing something like 3600 Iraqis a month for 23 years. Meanwhile, since January of 2003, the looney-left Iraq Body Count says only about 11,000 Iraqis have been killed.

Blix is an idiot.
