WHO'S THE FAIREST ONE OF ALL?:

Come see Hillary - and, oh, the candidates (DAVID YEPSEN, 11/13/2003, Des Moines Register)

Saturday is the Democrats' big Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Des Moines. Lots of presidential candidates and most any Democrat of any consequence in Iowa will descend on the city and Vets Auditorium for speeches, receptions and money-raising events.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is emceeing the festivities, a fact that takes much of the limelight away from the candidates. She's said repeatedly she isn't running for president in 2004, but some people can't seem to understand what "no" means. Just by showing up in Iowa she stokes the talk of a run someday. [...]

While the state party is overjoyed to have such a celebrity politician show up for their big bash, there could be a downside: Either she's going to eclipse the presidential contenders at a time when they are all struggling to break out of the pack, or one of them is going to eclipse her, which will hurt her hopes for 2008 or beyond.

How the dwarves must hate her...

...but Dean so far is the only one with enough guts (or just plain meanness) to say anything at all about the Clintons, and that was a surrogate shot at Terry McAuliffe.

One gets the feeling that the entire field is afraid that if they even think any bad thoughts about Hillary, she'll send them to the cornfield...

Now, wouldn't it be interesting to see a picture with a caption that read "Snow White surrounded by her 9 dwarves"? Which one is which?

What she means is she's not running in the primaries.

Since none of the nine running in the primaries will win either, she can assess her chances against Bush and either accept a draft or throw Gephardt a bone. He's been a good soldier and it won't matter it he's trounced by Bush

Mirror mirror on the wall; who is the fairest of them all.

Just look under the bridge.

Ohhh, I wish Frist had the guts to keep the filibuster going until Monday.

hehehehehehehehehehe

Sandy - I was thinking that same thing this morning coming into work. What would happen if Frist NOW made them do a real filibuster where they had to hold the floor? After these past 2 days, it would be fun to watch.

Dean won't do it. ERP has the goods.

Jim -- They may be dwarves, but Hillary certainly isn't "Snow White".
