Why is this pro-war demonstrator dressed up like General Custer? I suppose it could be said that Americans won that battle, but General Custer surely lost. Next thing you know, people will dress as Benedict Arnold.

Well, you can do George Custer, if your uniform shows that you're Custer of 1865, not 1876. Likewise you could do Benedict Arnold of 1775-1777, not 1779-1781.

Also, the 7th Cavalry, Custer's unit is right now racing across the Iraqi desert toward Baghdad. Perhaps this man is aware of that . . .
