RIGHT FACE, FORWARD MARCH:

SNOWBALL, MEET HELL (Patrick Ruffini, 02.04.03)
The Reliable Source reports:

"In the new issue of Doublethink, a Washington-based right-wing quarterly, [Christopher] Hitchens reveals that if the election were today he'd support President Bush..."

Despite colorful language designed to maintain his own emotional attachment to the causes of his youth and an anti-Zionism that carries with it an unfortunate whiff of age-old British anti-Semitism, the always entertaining Mr. Hitchens has been a man of the Right for a decade now. Perhaps; but it is hard to discount so easily his antipathy for the greatest source of tradition and continuity and order in the world, the Christian Church. I have difficulty coming around to the view that so aggressive, implacable, intemperate an atheist can be fully a "man of the Right."
