Rachel seems not to subscribe to the writer's rule, "Eschew epithets."

Blogging about an assignment to study your blogging is so meta its pomo -- and that's a bad thing.

David:

Geez--here I'm trying to be self-deprecating by showing how some teenie boppper drubbed me and I get accused of the egoimania I dislike in other blogs. Should I delete it? I thought Rachel was funny--and she got an A.

Hey - Keep Rachel's review. (Even if she used too many adverbs. Orrin's criticism could be boiled down to Guterson's excessive use of epithets, giving away early the author's mind, instead of just telling the story straight; no surprise Rachel didn't agree, given her own writing style!) Nothing more fun than a good debate. This one may not have equalled for entertainment the Miller Lite commercial with the two women tearing each other's clothes off in the pool, but it's close.

oj, maybe you can write the teacher and publish the best reviews on your site.
