DYN-O-MITE!:
Moral Glaucoma (Jimmie Walker, Dec. 5, 2002, Jewish World Review)Glaucoma is a disease that slowly takes away your eyesight without you noticing until it's too late. That's what is happening to the moral fiber in America. [...]Like the single-parent explosion, gay marriages, and child care centers in high schools, "Shock Jocks" have become part of the "American Fiber." These are things that Americans couldn't have imagined thirty or forty years ago.
Lancaster, California...two teenage girls (sixteen and seventeen years old) with their boyfriends, kidnapped at a lovers lane at one o'clock in the morning. Thank goodness the girls are safe and the kidnapper killed, but no one ever asked, "Why were these teenage girls at a lovers lane spot at one in the morning?" Where are the parents? These couples didn't go to that lovers lane spot for a "Bible reading."
Yet another Hollywood superstar joins the VRWC. Move over, Bo and Wayne. Posted by Orrin Judd at December 5, 2002 10:43 AM
If this is the same Jimmie Walker last seen in Good Times (in the 70s) I wouldn't put him in the superstar category.
However, it is good to have this said in Lalaland, particularly by an African American. Perhaps another sign that the 60s mentality is beginning to fade.
You dare deny the megastar status of Kid Dynamite? Philistine!

Class act, all around.
AWW--Other than "Aaaay" with the thumbs up, I can't think of any other saying that was more famous than "Dino-miiiiiiiiite" in the '70's. Maybe Horshack's laugh, maybe.
