It was especially cool when Arnold Schwarzenegger provided the voice of General Von Steuben. Another great moment was Nathan Hale's speech before being executed.
Despite it's effort at political correctness, this is a great show. How many kid's cartoons have you ever seen that talk about the Intolerable Acts?
Actually the pc stuff is really minimal considering its on PBS. My kids, 4 & 6 love it and I like that the show deals with history rather than feelings, like 90% of kids shows. Plus when it was added to our lineup, they dumped Sagwa. Now if they could just get rid of Cailou.
Posted by: Buttercup at November 4, 2002 8:18 AMOur line-up is 6 AM - CyberChase and 6:30 AM - Liberty's Kids. Today we learned about symmetry and Lafayette. Well, I learned, my four year old and 18 month old just think Hacker is cool.
Posted by: The Other Brother at November 4, 2002 8:26 AMForgot to mention Liberty's Kids even features the men whose philosophy and writings helped create the Revolution. This is amazing, since most kids history focuses on events, not ideas.
