Coleman, Mondale to debate one-on-one on election eve (Mark Brunswick and Kevin Duchschere, Nov. 3, 2002, Minneapolis Star Tribune)U.S. Senate candidates Walter Mondale and Norm Coleman agreed Saturday to a one-on-one debate Monday morning -- less than 24 hours before the polls open.The 60-minute debate, sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio, will be held at 10 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Theatre in downtown St. Paul.
