Poster contest planned for Roe vs. Wade anniversary (ANN-MARIE NEWMAN, November 4, 2002, Polk Online)Area artists interested in winning cash and national recognition for designing a poster for the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade are encouraged by Planned Parenthood to break out their drawing pencils and paint brushes.Planned Parenthood Federation of America is inviting artists from Polk County and across the nation to submit original pieces of artwork or posters that celebrate 30 years of choice and illustrate the concept that "Behind Every Choice is a Story," according to the federation. The contest, which will be judged by Planned Parenthood Web site visitors between Dec. 20 and Jan. 9, will award $800 to the first place winner. The winner's artwork will be featured on the federation's Web site, also, at www.plannedparenthood.org.
The second place winner will receive $350 and the third place winner $150. [...]

What is ironic is that participants under 18 years old have to get their parents permission to enter the contest.
