FIRST THE VERDICT, THEN THE TRIAL:
Frosty Friday at the UN (Collin May, 10/2/2002, Innocents Abroad)[W]hen it comes to its political ideology, the UN never lets facts get in the way. And here we see a typical UN modus operandi. Look for a possible problem of global import, play with the figures in order to prove the problem’s existence, blame free market forces for the problem to ensure they can’t be part of the solution, and then assert the need for an unelected centralized global bureaucracy to impose a binding solution on national governments. Then, when the new agency gets going, the process simply reinforces itself, guaranteeing the organization’s continued existence and expansion.
Mike Daley pointed out these guys and all we can say is anyone who can manage to combine skepticism about global warming, evolution, and the UN in one essay, while citing John Fonte, is okay in our book. Posted by Orrin Judd at October 2, 2002 11:29 PM

Mr. Judd;
Shouldn't he have said "the problem
simply reinforces itself"? A key feature of this approach is that it almost invariably makes the problem worse, requiring more of the "solution".
Yeah, but you know how much the Left loves the word "process".
