WE'RE GOING TO NEED A LOT MORE IMMIGRANTS TO BUILD THEM:
Housing Market Moving At Fastest Pace In Nearly A Decade, Study Reveals (Troy McMullen, 7/22/16, FORBES)
June marked the fastest, most competitive housing market since 2009, according to a survey by national real estate brokerage Redfin. The realtor says homes went under contract in just 41 days in June, the shortest time seen since Redfin began tracking the market in 2009, and four fewer days than last June. And 25.9 percent of homes went off the market in just two weeks, up from 22.6 percent last year. Not surprisingly, a shortage of supply and soaring demand in many places is driving the trend, says David Blitzer, managing director and chairman of the index committee at S&P Dow Jones Indices.
