REPUDIATING THE FETISH:
Obama's hug of Hiroshima survivor epitomizes historic visit (AP, May 27, 2016)
President Barack Obama may have faced the legacy of Hiroshima most directly with his embrace of a man who survived the devastating atomic blast. He spoke briefly with two survivors in the audience after his remarks Friday at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park: Sunao Tsuboi, the 91-year-old head of a survivors group, and Shigeaki Mori, 79, a historian who was just 8 when the bomb detonated on Aug. 6, 1945.
The legacy being the size and age of the survivor group.
