THE ECONOMY WON'T BE AN ISSUE:

[F]or the most part, the only time economics was mentioned was when the candidates talked about their super-ginormous tax cut plans.And there's a reason for that: It's awfully tough to rip an administration on economics when the unemployment rate is below 5 percent and consecutive months of job growth is up above 70 (which is a record, for the record). Oh, and the deficit is down by a whole lot too. Quietly, at least on the GOP side, foreign affairs has taken center stage in the presidential race and economics is fading away.
