Ruble collapse makes bribery more expensive for Russians (Ivana Kottasova, 2/27/15, Money)
Soaring prices and the weak ruble are creating corruption inflation: the cost of an average bribe shot up 37% in 2014.The typical inducement paid in Moscow last year was 327,000 rubles ($5,300), chief of police Anatoly Yakunin told Russian media.That's up more than 10 times in just five years. According to the Russian government, the average bung was just 23,000 rubles in 2009.
