Hot Garlic Shrimp with Red Pepper Flakes (The Denver Post, 12/21/11)
2-3 tablespoons olive oil2 cloves garlic, minced very fine2-3 pinches red pepper flakes, crushed16 medium shelled shrimpJuice of 1 lemonA little chopped chive, for garnishDirectionsAdd olive oil to skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute, then add shrimp. Cook 4-5 minutes, turning once or twice, until shrimp is cooked. Remove to a plate, pour hot oil over, squeeze with lemon and top with chive (and more pepper flakes if desired).
