NOBODY KNOWS THE TROUBLE I SEEN...:

Retail sales jump 6% in November (Andrea Chang, 2.02/10, Los Angeles Times)

A November packed with discounts and deals lured customers out of their homes, causing retail sales to surge 6% -- the strongest results in eight months and an encouraging sign for the holiday season.

The results came in well ahead of analysts' predictions for a 3.6% rise. Every major category -- including discounters, department stores and apparel sellers -- beat expectations, according to Thomson Reuters, which tallied the monthly sales of 27 national chains.
