Conditions were almost perfect Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich., as history was made at Michigan Stadium.Posted by Orrin Judd at December 11, 2010 10:05 PMOver 113,000 fans were on hand to see "The Big Chill in The Big House," an outdoor hockey game between rivals Michigan and Michigan State. The fans -- nearly all of them rooting for the home-standing Wolverines -- were treated to a show, as Michigan waxed its neighbors, 5-0.
113,411 was the exact attendance, smashing the record for attendance at a hockey game anywhere in the world. It also was the largest crowd for any NCAA event in any sport.
