Cyber Monday breaks record with more than $1 billion in online sales, says ComScore (Tiffany Hsu, December 1, 2010, LA Times)

CYBERMONDAY Shoppers turned out in force for Cyber Monday, busting through spending records by dropping just over $1 billion on the Web.

It was the heaviest online shopping day in history, representing a 16% increase from last year’s $887 million Cyber Monday haul, according to research firm ComScore.
