GOP's Kelly Ayotte Leads Democrat Paul Hodes in New Hampshire Senate Race (Bruce Drake, 10/01/10, Politics Daily)

Republican Kelly Ayotte has built a big 50 percent to 35 percent lead over Democratic Rep. Paul Hodes in their race for the New Hampshire Senate seat being vacated by the GOP's Judd Gregg, according to a WMUR Granite State Poll conducted Sept. 23-29.

That improves on a 45 percent to 37 percent lead that Ayotte, the former state attorney general, held over Hodes in July before she won the GOP primary against Ovide Lamontagne, a Tea Party favorite.

Thus NH has the first primary, not a childish state.
