NOW YOU'RE TALKIN' (via The Other Brother):

Movement To Ban Divorce Gains Traction On Facebook (Nick O'Neill on December 1st, 2009, All Facebook)

In a statement against California Proposition 8, a Sacramento Web designer has set up a website and Facebook Page to promote the banning of divorce in California. So far the movement has attracted over 13,000 fans and is growing after a day of widespread coverage. For those that are unaware of Proposition 8, it was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed last year to limit marriage to opposite-sex couples.

John Marcotte, who set up the site and Facebook Page, says “Since California has decided to protect traditional marriage, I think it would be hypocritical of us not to sacrifice some of our own rights to protect traditional marriage even more.” The rationale is that if you are going to stick with the “sanctity of marriage”, you should stick with the vow “Til death do us part”

Social conservatives should exploit the opportunity, because Mr. Marcotte is, unintentionally, right. Banning gay marriage is a small victory. Banning divorce would be a huge one.
