AND PEANUT BUTTER IS ON SALE FOR ONCE:

Easiest Peanut Butter Cookies (Carina Chiodo, 03/04/2009, Contra Costa Times)

1 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all three ingredients in a bowl. This takes some effort, because peanut butter is very sticky and thick, but do not give up.

2. When the ingredients have been evenly and thoroughly combined (the dough will look like a more wet, grainy peanut butter), roll the dough into one-inch balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.

3. Bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on whether you like your cookies softer or crunchier.

Let cool for at least 30 minutes before you try one; when they are hot, they will instantly fall apart if you try to eat or move them. After 30 minutes is up, dig in!
