Lieberman returns to Hill, legislative director quits (Glenn Thrush, 9/08/08, Politico: The Crypt)

Joe Lieberman returned to Capitol Hill today -- his first day back since speaking at the GOP convention -- and was greeted by the resignation of his $120,000-a-year legislative director Joe Goffman.

He gave no reason for his departure -- but indicated he has no firm future plans.

Given the way the Democrats have handled a woman on the other ticket, one shudders to think how they'll do with a prominent Jewish desertion. Who do we figure is the first to call him Judas?
