Obama Counters Claims Palin Has More Experience (Mark Halperin, September 2nd, 2008, The Page)

In an interview with CNN, the Land of Lincolner compares Palin’s governing staff to the number of people he oversees on his campaign to make a point about managerial experience.

“Our ability to manage large systems and to execute has been made clear over the last couple of years.”

When his surrogates trotted out the line that he does have some executive experience because he's running a presidential campaign it seemed like they were just desperate for a talking point, but having the candidate adopt that theme is just humiliating. They'd be better off just conceding that Ms Palin is the most qualified candidate on either ticket and pointing out that Mr. Obama is -- with the significant exception of never having held a military command -- pretty much as qualified as Maverick or Joe Biden.
