VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN (via Glenn Dryfoos):

Celebrating 100 years with 'Battle of the Bands' (ESPN.com, 6/15/08)

Baseball fans remember 1908 as the year the Chicago Cubs last won the World Series. But it was also memorable for another reason: "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was born.

To commemorate the 100-year anniversary of baseball's most famous tune, "Baseball Tonight" has asked nine popular musical artists to record a rendition of the song and engage in a battle of the bands. Each version will debut during "Baseball Tonight" at 10 p.m. ET, except where noted, and then be posted on this page.

After all nine have been posted, SportsNation will have an opportunity to vote on its favorite one, beginning at 8 p.m. ET on June 29. The top three vote-getters will be announced on July 6, and the winner will be revealed on July 13.
