HOW MUCH EASIER DO YOU WANT IT?:

Pecan Shortbread (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, December 06, 2007)

* 1 1/2 cups butter, room temperature
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
* 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the butter and sugar until light.

Gradually work in the flour.

Add pecans.

Roll dough on floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.

Cut into squares.

Place 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake about 20 minutes. Remove immediately.
