Hillary rouses female voters (Jennifer Harper, November 7, 2007, Washington Times)

It's the Hillary and hubby factor: Feminine dynamics are at work among female voters, according to research released yesterday.

Almost a quarter of women surveyed said they were paying more attention to the 2008 presidential campaign because Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is in the race. About 20 percent said they felt more motivated to vote because of the New York Democrat.

It's decisive for the nomination but unlikely to help in the general, because the Democrats are the female party (which is why scandal stories won't hurt her). That's why the first woman president will more likely be a Republican.
