Syria says Israel bombs territory (Khaled Yacoub Oweis, 9/06/07, Reuters)

Syria accused Israel of bombing its territory on Thursday and said it could respond to its neighbor's "aggression and treachery".

Israel refused all comment on the report, which said no casualties or damage were caused.

No matter how much Israel may prefer that totalitarians rule their neighbors, they'll have to reckon with Syria eventually.
