Pension fund advisers have called on the Government to change the law to allow a new "third way" of shared risk retirement schemes.Posted by Orrin Judd at March 29, 2007 12:00 AMThe Association of Consulting Actuaries described its proposal for a new tier of pensions to sit between generous final salary schemes and riskier defined contribution plans as a "once in a generation opportunity to re-energise workplace pensions".
Ian Farr, ACA chairman, said: "Shared risk schemes could fill the gap being left as final salary schemes close to new entrants and future accrual".
