Hate letters sent to parents who have a third baby (Annanova, 6/05/03)
Dutch police are hunting a man who sends hate letters to families who have three or more children.

The sender starts his letters with "No congratulations", and insults the parents by calling them anti-social and egotistic.

He signs his letters as Dr Malthus from Volthe, which police believe is a reference to the 18th century English philosopher Thomas Malthus - who warned against overpopulation.

A police spokesman told Dagblad Rivierenland: "He asks the parents why they don't adopt a child, if they absolutely want to have children, because Holland is already too full."

Once they turn Europe into a single state, we've got an idea for the motto on their license plates: HATE LIFE. Posted by Orrin Judd at June 5, 2003 10:24 AM
