THERE GOES THE LOGIC OF HIS CANDIDACY
President Graham: What are the chances? (Mark Silva, May 6, 2003, Orlando Sentinel)If the election were held today, 53 percent of likely Florida voters would choose Bush and 38 percent Graham, according to a poll conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research. The question was asked of 400 likely voters April 28-29, and carries a possible 5 percentage-point margin of error.
Any Democrat who can't even post a lead over President Bush in their own home state--which may be all of them except Kerry--has a tough sell making the argument that they can carry the country. If you're a former governor and current Senator, who's run and won statewide repeatedly, yet you're still down by double-digits, what's the point? Posted by Orrin Judd at May 6, 2003 10:58 PM
