IT'S MORNING IN AMERICA:

Well, I obviously whiffed badly on the potential for upsets in IA, but I think I may have nailed the rest of the Senate races (GOP loss in AR, wins in NH, NC, GA, TX, MO, MN, SD, CO), that is if the GOP can win the run-off in LA. Meanwhile, on the gubernatorial level, despite the IA biff, it looks like MA, MD, SC, AL, & GA are all going to be the predicted GOP upsets and CA looks possible at this early hour.

Congrats Mr. J, other than Iowa I think you've beat the "professionals" on the Senate call tonight pretty thoroughly. Excellent work and excellent news.

I second the congrats. And to think: not a month ago, you were all gloomy.

I find gloom is the only way to get through these things anymore. In 2000 I insisted that McCain would beat Bush and Gore would steal the election and both seemed to work.

Lousiana will go for the Republican in the run-off. The only thing keeping it from happening now was that two Republicans ran against one Democrat.
