ANOTHER CONVERT:
Put Arafat on trial (Alan M. Dershowitz, Sept. 23, 2002, Jewish World Review)The rule of law requires that murderers be brought to justice. Yasser Arafat is a cold-blooded, premeditated murderer. It would seem to follow that he should be brought to trial.
Mr. Dershowitz is right, but one wonders why he wasn't saying this when President Clinton, for whom he flacked relentlessly, hosted the "cold-blooded, premeditated murderer" (and his partner in crime, Gerry Adams, for that matter) in the White House. Meanwhile, rather than leave this task to Israel, why not demand that the U.N., which chatters about Human Rights all the time, try him? Let's see if the War Crimes folks are serious or if they just want another forum in which to flog the West. Posted by Orrin Judd at September 26, 2002 9:15 AM
