THUNDERBIRDS ARE...NO! (Steve Martinovich, Enter Stage Right)

Reuters reports that Jonathan Frakes, best known for playing William Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation, will direct a live action version of the famed British puppet/model show "Thunderbirds".

Among my proudest possessions is my set of Thunderbirds on DVD. When we were kids, Thunderbirds was only shown very irregularly. The local Hispanic channel used to show it though and I'd watch in Spanish, not getting the dialogue but easily grasping the lingua franca of Supermarionation.
