Director John Frankenheimer Dies (ASSOCIATED PRESS, July 6, 2002)

John Frankenheimer, director of such Hollywood classics as ``The Manchurian Candidate'' and ``Birdman of Alcatraz,'' died Saturday. He was 72.

He's probably best known for The Manchurian Candidate and Seven Days in May, but The Train is excellent too.
