EVEN CRUSTACEANS FEEL THE LOVE :

A great deal of pure nonsense has been written about the transformative power of the web, yet it is impossible to deny the ways in which it is changing all of our lives. At their most utopian, folks claim that it will provide an interconnectedness that will reshape humanity, to which we must say : hogwash. On the other hand, something quite unexpected and very pleasant happened yesterday. Perry de Havilland, with whom I've enjoyed bickering over the last few months, bought out the ad that used to appear at the top of this page. We've never met and are rather unlikely to do so. Heck, he even lives in one of the forbidden timezones (which includes all of those that aren't on the Eastern Seaboard of the US). We have significant political disagreements.
