The Iraqis ... tell me that these are not weapons of mass destruction, they are weapons of self-destruction. I agree.
Saddam says Iraq's weapons are only meant for Kurds and Shiites. Blix thinks this will reassure us.
To me the question of the environment is more ominous than that of peace and war. We will have regional conflicts and use of force, but world conflicts I do not believe will happen any longer. But the environment, that is a creeping danger. I'm more worried about global warming than I am of any major military conflict....I don't think there's any reason for a rant of hysteria [about weapons of mass destruction], no.

We continue to work in an optimistic mood, but it may also be that the work finishes a week from now.

Also, when he is not worrying about global warming, and has a time to worry about terrorism, his focus appears to be "the things that are breeding these terrorist movements. Why do they become terrorists? Why do they become so desperate they are willing to blow up airplanes or buildings? Therefore we have to look at the social problems as well."
OK, this is the guy in whose hands Bill Clinton believes we should put our lives. Let's recap: Worrying about WPM's and terrorists is to succumb to hysteria, or worse denial (that your brought it all on yourself). Oh, and global warming is the real boogey man. Great judgement, Bubba.
