Jindal boosts conservative causes (UPI, 6/02/08)

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential vice presidential choice for Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, could balance the GOP ticket, observers say.

Jindal is an Indian-American, Roman Catholic and has solid conservative bona fides, The New York Times reported Monday.

"He has everything McCain is lacking," said Republican state Rep. John LaBruzzo, speaking of Jindal.
