I WANT MY ED TV (profanity alert):
Friend Ed Driscoll has up a very funny video that captures the degree to which Obamania is nothing more than the desire of those on the Left to have their own bull[squat] to believe in. And what does it say about them that they know their past idols were hoaxes but they're bitter that they haven't had one of their own?
[By the way, I can't be the only one who thinks Ed ought to to do these reports while mounted on his Segway.]
They want their own hoax because they want to believe, they want to feel. It seems every election the democrats go looking for Jack Kennedy.
What worries me is that some on the right are going about the same thing with Ronald Reagan, looking for the next Reagan, darn near beatifying the man. It worries me because they want the image they created, not the actual man. It is this close to idolatry. and that route only leads to bitterness and ends in tears.
