That's so funny. Your comment comes off like a cute toss-off, but it bears thinking about. The article is categorically about successful "assassinations" of terrorists. This is Mother Jones, so, horrors, we can't support that! But we can't title it "Hitting the Mark", because that would sound complimentary to the forces carrying them out.

So let's call it "Missing the Mark'. For the following reasons:

Has a cute and familiar ring, good for headlines

Makes the military look like doofuses.

Shows no hint of support whatsoever for what they are doing.

And hey, it's pithy, just three words.

Note that wether there is a hint of truth in the headline vis a vis the article did'nt quite make the cut.

I'd rather see it called "Predator's Greatest Hits."
