Another stereotype – chatty gals and taciturn guys – bites the dust.

Turns out, when you actually count the words, there isn’t much difference between the sexes when it comes to talking.

A team led by Matthias R. Mehl, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Arizona, came up with the finding, which is published in today’s issue of the journal Science.

Okay, so let's get it started then with a question near to my own heart. Which do the Diamondbacks need more - a left-handed pitcher under forty who doesn't walk lots of people, or someone who can actually hit home runs on a regular basis?

The Dbacks have a classic disease--they bought the hype about their own youngsters and are, therefore, afraid to trade any of them. They're actually talking about "solving" their offensive problems by calling up Justin Upton.
