BECAUSE CAPTAIN OZONE HAS NEEDS (via Gene Brown):

Al Gore’s Personal Energy Use Is His Own “Inconvenient Truth”: Gore’s home uses more than 20 times the national average (Tennessee Policy, Feruary 2007)

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

When those who say it's a crisis act like it's a crisis, get back to me. Until then, shut up and sing/act/tell jokes...or (I'm looking at you, AL) just shut up.

What I want to know is, what is all the electricity being used for? Is he growing dope or something?

Hey, those sodium halide grow lamps use a lot of power. Don't even ask what his Mylar bill is.

The "prophet" protests!

"The former vice-president maintained that comparing raw energy-usage figures is misleading and that he leads what he advocates, a "carbon-neutral lifestyle," by purchasing energy from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and methane gas to balance out the carbon emissions produced in generating the electricity his home uses[...]" Snopes.

Thumper, ask Teddie to send down more of that wind and methane gas, the pool's cooling down.

ted: His son, Al Gore III, is the one growing the dope. Don't worry, it is for his own stash.

Orrin pointed out to me that Al Gore III managed to do 100 mph in a Prius. I was too stunned to reply. I thought the only way a Prius could go that fast was if you dropped it out of a plane. Maybe he's got some kind of hopped up, cherried out Prius.
