WE CAN BE PREDATORS OR PREY:

Wolf that attacked 6 tests negative for rabies (Canadian Press, 9/07/06)

A lone black wolf that attacked six people, including several young children, in a provincial park over the long weekend has tested negative for rabies, the Algoma Health Unit said Wednesday. [...]

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency plans to conduct further testing on the wolf's body to try and find other possible causes for the attacks, which left several families injured and badly shaken.

Why does your dog feed when you serve him a dish of Alpo?

It could have attacked Americans, but it was cutting down on the fat and chose to go with the leaner Canadians instead, eh?

So there's no insanity defense for this Wolf!!

"there's no insanity defense for this Wolf" The insane ones are those Canadians who insisted that the wolf not do what it's supposed to do as a wolf. Just like that guy up in Alaska treating wild bears as his pets. Wolves are not puppies, bears are not pets.

Man should not fear the wolf. The wolf travels in the same environment as man. I'm assuming, that when you walk into the woods, you have your tomahawk handy. Yes? Unlike Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, who traveled into an area of the environment, he had no control over. If you find young wolves, you can assert some control over them, but not total control. The sting ray will never be able to fetch the paper, or your slippers. Damn, it's hard to type after drinking beer.
