THE ONE AREA WHERE FRANCE CAN OFFER HELPFUL ADVICE:

Activist falls overboard in clash with whalers (AP, 1/16/06)

Japanese whalers fired a harpoon over a Greenpeace boat, throwing one of the environmental group's activists into Antarctic waters, the group said Sunday.

The incident was the latest escalation in increasingly acrimonious clashes between whalers and environmentalists intent on halting the annual hunt of the marine mammals.

I'm a person with unassailable conservative credentials.

I'm with the whales on this one.

Ya know, Bruno, if it were just Whales vs. Japanese, I'd be with you. But add those other guys to the mix, and suddenly all bets are off...

Which of the three stakeholders has the biggest blowhole?

These "activists" have been overboard for years.

What have you got against sushi?

You don't extinguish a species for the sake a few Japanese and Norwegian throwbacks who don't want to get a new job.

I'm no fan of the Greenpeace ideology, but "stewardship over the Earth" means sinking the damn whaling ships and telling the whalers to start looking into selling their sobstories on Ebay.

I'm with Bruno on this one all the way.

I've tried Whale meat in Norway, out of curiosity, and it really sucks. I like the Norwegians, Japanese and the Inuits, but this is a crummy habit they need to give up.
